Seminar for any Pacific student enrolled in a tertiary institution in Australia to connect with other likeminded Pacific students.

About this event

Due to the ongoing COVID restrictions in place, we have chosen to hold the 2021 Australia Universities Pacific Association Conference (AUPAC) online. The online conference is for any Pacific student enrolled in a university in Australia. The purpose is to connect with other likeminded Pacific students across the nation and take part in interactive and engaging talanoa workshops with a line-up of amazing Pacific panellists who will share their experiences. Panel discussions will be based around topics such as strengthening our mana, building resilience, mental health and wellbeing — moving beyond uncertainty in our trajectory as Pacific professionals in our respective fields post-university education. Unlike other academic conferences, our aim for the virtual conference is to provide a culturally safe space that is engaging and interactive, where we come together to learn from one another.

If you are interested and would like to attend, please register.

We look forward to seeing you there,

Australian National University, Pasifika Australia, AUPAC organising committee

Please contact Anita Togolo (anita.togolo@anu.edu.au) if you have any questions.

The program and conference website will be made available in the coming week.

AUPAC organised through Pasifika Australia and ANU Pasifika Student Society. It is supported in part by the Pacific Research Program, and the ANU Pacific Institute.
